This school isn't that bad, there aren't many fights, the administration is helpful, the teachers know how to make some learining fun, and you can make a lot of friends. Also, it's near the sub base so its a military-friendly community. We do have the occasional fight over stupid stuff, but otherwise everyone is more or less friendly.
Luckily I only had to spend one semester here for 6th grade. But that one semester scarred for me for a looong time. This was back in '96 or '97. I transfered from another school in town for the second semester. I was harrassed every day by students. I had notes put in my locker telling me to kill myself. All because I didn't grow up with these kids. As I remember there were a lot of black and hispanic students. The principal was black also. I even took the harrassment to him, but he said I was being racist by only singling out the black kids that harrassed me so he wasn't going to do anything about it. The thing is, only black students harrassed me because they thought I was hispanic. Luckily, the hispanics thought so too; the saved me a lot of trouble a time or two. I remember being so scared I nearly ran home every day. I was constantly looking over my shoulder. This was the worst school experience of my life. I remember the teachers were sympathetic, but didn't or maybe couldn't do much. I hated it so much I faked every illness I could think of to stay home. I even made like I had asthma. This school was terrible. Kids fighting all the time. Being white, I was definitely the minority there and the other kids let me know it. I saw things I wish I never did. Being a navy child, I've been to plenty of schools. And this was by far the worst. I pray it's changed, though it probably hasn't. In fact, I'd say that was the worst neighborhood I've ever lived in.
My children did not have a very good experience at this school and neither did I. I will not go into details

It's a really good school to go ,but don't get in any drama or it will make your life hell.
